Beaver Scouts in Torfaen District
The start of the adventure for young people aged 6-8!
Welcome to the Beaver Scout section. Beavers is all about having fun by making new friends and learning new skills through playing games, interacting and exploring the environment.
Through a series of badges and challenge awards, a balanced program allows Beavers to make friends and develop their skills; such as always giving their best.
Beavers learn some of the basic scouting skills they will develop further when 'swiming up' to become a Cub Scout. Beavers go camping with their parents, but they can also have sleepovers in the scout hut near home where it is warm and safe.
Any young person, boy or girl, aged between 6-7 can become a Beaver Scout. Around the time of their 8th birthday Beaver scouts 'swim up' to Cubs Scouts where they face new and exciting challenges.
